Soon tourists from all over the world (As well as celebrities and politicians) fell in love with this spectacular Paradise! Eddie, being a young man and bartending there at the beach- was often asked “What’s to do around here?” and his response was always “LET’S GO!” If people had their own car, that was their transport! Or Don Lalo would load everyone up in his old pickup and head out to treasures unknown! Often returning without a muffler and decorated with jungle palms! Many of these places have become popular tourist spots or even now with big hotels. A bit sad to see the area now so populated~ but still an amazing Paradise for all to enjoy!

We are a Mexican family owned and operated business, having been in the area of the Riviera Maya over 35 years. Let’s go back in time to the early 1980’s!

The Romano family arrived to this Paradise- a pristine and very much unexplored world. “Don Lalo” established the famous “Chemuyil Beach Restaurant Bar and Camp ground” which he coined “the most beautiful beach in the world”. And as you might imagine- it was! White sugary beach, abundance of palm trees, calm lapping waves, brilliant turquoise waters.

As years have gone by, Edventure Tours has grown, and Big Eddie will happily greet you as you arrive to our tour shop! We still remain a small company, with local guides that pride themselves in wanting to show you the best day – the best places, with the best service possible.They are proud to tell you of their heritage, their history, and personal stories of this area.
